Trekking in Nepal

New, only since 2010 officially open for trekking, without a doubt one of the best and (easy) treks in Nepal, the trail has been given a name of ‘Indigenous Peoples Trail’ (IP Trail) in honor of the six major ethnic settlements in the area. The trekkers are welcomed into the culture and lifestyle of indigenous communities including Sherpa, Newar, Thami, Tamang, Yolmo and Majhis in this lively cultural route. The two major religions in Nepal – Hinduism and Buddhism are ever present in the form of gods and goddesses, temples, stupas, gumbas, monasteries and sacred caves. Nepal Charity Trek par excellence with the local people who want to show their culture and share it with others, but also a trek where you have the opportunity to give something back to the community in terms of charity.

Himalaya Discovery supports local schools by donating funds and educational materials to the students, according to the condition of the schools and students. We believe that through our guidance children will be proud of what they can achieve, rather than ashames by what they cannot accomplish. Similarly, your participation of 150 Euro each helps to the school for buying educational materials for students, such as paper, writing material, blackboards, computer, with two main objectives to establish and implement long-lasting sustainable educational development that impact isolated areas of Nepal (twenty villages and over 8,000 poor people in average), located in the western part of the Ramechhap district in Nepal, and support the students. Ramechhap is located 130 km east of Kathmandu. Our carefully designed charity trek itinerary.

The (IP)  Trail has a unique unmatched environment, as relatively few trekkers visit, making your experience more unique and unspoiled. You will be greatly rewarded and feel a great sense of compassion as you trek into the remote village to experience the everyday life, visit the school, meet with locals and see just how isolated the area is. Upon completion of the trek, if want to contribute further through network contacts to raise more awareness and future sponsorship or make an additional donation it’s greatly appreciated. Further information will be given you by ‘Himalaya Discovery’.

Note

The above information is a guide and standard template of what we provide. This itinerary can be customized according to the duration of your holiday. We have many options for shorter visits based on your interests and budget.

On an adventure trip of this type, weather, political strikes, transport or a multitude of other factors beyond our control can result in a change of itinerary. It is however very unlikely that the itinerary would be substantially altered; if alterations are necessary the leader will decide what is the best alternative, taking into consideration the best interests of the whole group. Where a change does occur, we do everything we can to minimize its effect, but we cannot be responsible for the results of changes or delays.

Your Dream Itinerary, Crafted With You

I was born and raised in Nepal, nearby the Everest region. I am proud to be a native Sherpa, and I have been a Mountain guide over a decade now.

Following my passion, I decided to start helping travelers with their travel plans! I think life is a journey, a trip where you collect experiences when you share with other people and with nature.

I started Himalaya Discovery because I was ready to see a new kind of travel brand, one built on the simple idea of feeling good and doing good.

Since its start, Himalaya Discovery has been super-powered by you, our community; when you “travel” it, we create it. We’re on a mission to make travel better with clean, award-winning adventures that are sustainable and conscious of the planet we share.

Thank you for being a part of our journey.
