Upper Mustang goes into hibernation mode during the winter. The average temperature during the day is 0 to 7 degrees Celsius and -22 to -18 degrees Celsius at night.

During winter, the Upper Mustang experiences heavy snowfall. Trekking in this area of Mustang during this season would be hard. Attempting this trek without the proper gear and equipment could be challenging.
