The Founders, We are Chhiring Sherpa from Nepal and Julie Delaruelle from Belgium. In 2010 we bundled our forces together and started our own company. Our guests profit from our Nepalese-Belgian relationship due to good communication and understanding, knowledge of the culture, local tariffs and an “invaluable“ knowledge of the countries. The fact that we are anchored locally is an advantage for our guests.

About the Sherpa people: The Sherpa people have traditionally been known as ‘the guardians of the Himalaya’. Sherpas are highly regarded as elite mountaineers and experts in their local terrain. They were immeasurably valuable to early explorers of the Himalayan region, serving as guides at the extreme altitudes of the peaks and passes in the region, particularly for expeditions to climb Mt. Everest. Today, the term is often used casually—and incorrectly—by foreigners to refer to almost any guide or porter hired for mountaineering expeditions in the Himalayas. Sherpas are renowned in the international climbing and mountaineering community for their hardiness, expertise, and experience at high altitudes. It has been speculated that a portion of the Sherpas’ climbing ability is the result of a genetic adaptation to living in high altitudes. As Sherpa, we know and love the mountains and it is in this role that we wished to share this knowledge and love with others.
